Since 1955, The Dinerstein Companies has built over 30,000 apartment units and 27,000 student housing beds in twenty-seven states. The construction division builds between six and ten new apartment and student housing communities each year. With 2,900 units under construction, the construction division currently ranks as the eighth largest multifamily builder in the country.

Beginning in 2008, the company adopted LEED Certified construction standards as outlined by the US Green Building Council. With 1,500 LEED Silver Certified units under construction, The Dinerstein Companies has quickly become one of the largest green apartment builders and developers in the country.
